KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that what Zulfiqar Mirza is saying is correct. He said he was visiting Karachi on directives of the Prime Minister but have no intention to interfere in administrative matters.
The interior minister was talking over a statement of provincial home minister that he was not taken into confidence over the operation in Karachi.
Talking to media at Karachi airport on Thursday Rehman Malik said that the target killers were captured on our intelligence. The interior minister said that the terrorism can be curbed with intelligence sharing.
He said terrorists, whatever their origin is, want to destabilize Pakistan.
Replying a question Malik said that all political parties are agreed over the agenda of maintenance of peace in Karachi.
Responding to another query, the minister said the government will not amend the blasphemy law.
