Govt Decides to Convene APC on Karachi Situation


KARACHI: In its efforts to curb the ongoing political violence in Karachi, the government decided on Thursday to convene All Parties Conference in the city on January 27, ARY NEWS reports.

The decision emerged at meeting between Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah held here today.

Earlier today, addressing a session of the Sindh Assembly, Mirza said he was not taken into confidence over the Rangers operation in
Karachi.

Subsequently, Interior Minister Rehman Malik confirmed that Mirza was unaware of the operation.
